(ANSA) - PERUGIA, 08 JAN - Didactics "exclusively at distance" until 23 January in high schools in Umbria.
This was decided by the Region by applying the concept of "maximum precaution".
The measure concerns state and equal secondary schools.
On the basis of epidemiological data and the opinion of the Umbrian Technical-Scientific Committee, the Region has deemed it necessary to observe a period of observation in the approximately 20 days following the holidays in order to analyze the trend of the epidemic in the area and follow "the concept of maximum precaution to protect the primary asset of health".
In this sense, Palazzo Donini has announced that a protocol is also being perfected with public and private pharmacies as well as with the Red Cross to allow voluntary screening of students and school staff of high schools.

As far as distance learning is concerned - reads a note from the Region -, the possibility of carrying out activities in the presence "will remain unaffected" if the use of laboratories is necessary or in order to maintain an educational relationship that achieves the effective school inclusion of pupils sharing and with special educational needs, while ensuring the online connection with the students of the class who are integrated digital education ".
The provisions also apply to students enrolled for the 2020-2021 training year in professional education and training courses (Iefp) at training agencies and state professional institutions under a subsidiarity regime.
