(ANSA) - ROME, JAN 08 - We could not hear it closer to the eighth season of I delitti del Barlume, the crime / comedy series directed by Roan Johnson that draws inspiration from the world of the imaginary Tuscan town Pineta (shot in Marciana Marina, on Isola d'Elba, ed), in the novels by Marco Malvaldi (Sellerio Editore).

In the two new stories in primatv on 11 and 18 January at 9.15 pm on Sky Cinema Uno, also available on demand on Sky and streaming on NOW TV, the characters, played by a perfectly tuned cast composed, among others, by Filippo Timi , Lucia Mascino, Alessandro Benvenuti, Stefano Fresi, Corrado Guzzanti, AtosDavini, Massimo Paganelli, Marcello Marziale, Enrica Guidi, find themselves facing the pandemic between masks, video calls (also for card games) and lockdown.

Obstacles that do not, however, stop the investigations into new crimes carried out (also from home) by Commissioner VittoriaFusco (Mascino) with the more or less requested contribution of the barista, with an aptitude for solving mysteries, Massimo Viviani (Timi).

"We all find ourselves forced by the situation and it does not say well to almost anyone - explains Stefano Fresi to ANSA -. With my character, poor Beppe, I find myself in forced coexistence with that mad furious Pasquali (Guzzanti) that I necombina of all colors" .

With the series, a Sky Original production co-produced with Palomar, director Roan Johnson proves to be "a very brave dynamite - underlines the actor -. Bringing the covid emergency into the story is a decision that brings us back to the spirit of the Italian comedy, that of Monicelli, diScola. We are all experiencing the pandemic, why not talk about it.

Respecting it but also playing it down a bit ".

I delitti del Barlume was one of the first productions to return to the set after the lockdown, but the entertainment sector, especially for the theater, given the prolonged closure of cinemas and theaters, is in deep crisis: "They make you feel the most expendable sector among the expendable ones and instead culture is a medicine that has helped us a lot in recent months ".
