After a year 2020 marked by travel restrictions due to health rules, 2021 should be the year of the great return of field reports in the print and online editions of the editorial staff.
This is predicted by the annual study, released Thursday, from the Reuters Institute for the Study of Journalism (Oxford), which benchmarks observable trends and perspectives in print media.
“We can expect a thirst for contact”
and a return to coverage of
“real-life events,”
notes Nic Newman, author of the report.
Journalists will come out of their desks and provide more field coverage drawing on their communities. ”
Facilitated by technological tools, the enrichment of texts by videos - especially in situ testimonials - should be one of the spearheads of information sites.
