The president offered himself a small crowd benefit after commemorating the 25th anniversary of the disappearance of François Mitterrand.


Emmanuel Macron laid a wreath in Jarnac on Friday at the tomb of François Mitterrand, who died 25 years ago, alongside great figures of the PS.

Arrived first, relatives of the late president gathered in front of the family vault, including the former president François Hollande, the former ministers of Mitterrand Ségolène Royal and Hubert Védrine, his son Gilbert Mitterrand as well as the current First Secretary of the Party socialist Olivier Faure, who laid a wreath on behalf of the party.
