Tridico, with a minimum wage of € 8 + € 3.3 billion for workers

(ANSA) - ROME, JANUARY 11 - Setting the minimum wage at 8 euros per hour, net of the thirteenth and severance pay, there would be a greater disposable income for workers (balance of higher salaries and higher taxes and contributions) of approximately € 3.3 billion. This was stated by the president of INPS, PasqualeTridico, in a hearing in the Senate explaining that for businesses it would be an increase in gross wages of 4.6 billion. The workers involved would be 13.8% of the total of private employees. The introduction of the Tridico minimum-second wage would reduce inequalities and should not lead to a reduction in employment as has not happened in Germany.
