The dems formally submitted Donald Trump's impeachment article to the House for encouraging his protesters' assault on Capitol Hill, which resulted in five dead and several injured.
There is only one charge: incitement to insurrection.
The four pages of the document refer to his false claims of victory against Joe Biden, his pressure on Georgia's executives to overturn the outcome of the vote in that state, and the rally in which he encouraged his fans to attack Capitol Hill.
House dems have asked for consent for a resolution asking Vice President Mike Pence to call for the 25th amendment to the constitution to remove Donald Trump but Republican objections force House to put it to the vote tomorrow. The dem had asked the Grand Old party for consent to immediately bring the resolution to the courtroom for debate but the Republicans opposed it with an oral vote. The Democrats then announced that tomorrow they will ask for a registered vote on the same resolution, which gives Pence 24 hours to appeal to the 25th amendment.
