The former TF1 presenter launched a free platform in his name, “JPP TV”. A site full of regional reports from its 33

With his eternal communicative smile, Jean-Pierre Pernaut denotes in a blue shirt against a background of a field.

No doubt, here we are in the world of terroirs of the flagship presenter of the 13 Hours, recently retired and replaced by Marie-Sophie Lacarrau.

However, the images are not broadcast on TF1, but on the “Jean-Pierre Pernaut TV” platform, a sort of Netflix for the regions, launched at the end of December by the front page and the LCI channel.

The 70-year-old presenter intends to preserve his link with the public through this site dedicated to heritage, the environment and regional news.

The reports classified by location or thematic offer a trip to the four corners of France with singing accents, local dishes and postcard images, as a sweet reminder of his 33 years at the head of the 13 Hours.

At a glance, we find the Pernaut touch: proximity and frankness in the titles.

To discover the subjects, all you have to do is indicate your email, because the platform is free.

Impossible to forget the 70-year-old presenter - who stares at us behind his glasses on the home page - when browsing.

Even his timeless “rants” are featured in videos, while a section “Jean-Pierre et vous” focuses on his “favorites”.

We also discover behind the scenes of his television news.

"It will get richer over the months"

The newly retired sends a message to his Internet users: “Thank you for joining me on JPP TV.

I hope that despite the health crisis you had a good end of the year, maybe on this site looking at some of the hundreds of topics already online.

This will be enriched over the months to arrive at an extraordinary library of images on the riches of our heritage […].

I will meet you regularly, ”he announces.

In this eponymous column, his moving farewell to 13 Hours, highlights from the television news or even his “memories with Miss”.

"I have one at home", ironically the former presenter, in a relationship with Nathalie Marquay, Miss France 1987.

In another genre, the “thematic” tab invites you to immerse yourself in the region.

Not bad for airing in this gloomy period.

Let's go to revisit these escapes which give a good scent to the deep France.

On the menu of this well-supplied menu, as well “collectors and enthusiasts” as “memories and archives”, “festivals and traditions”, or “the last bigoudènes”.

We set sail for Brittany with Alexia, a dapper nonagenarian who wears her hair in the fashion of yesteryear, we go shell hunting, or we slide on the ice with the inhabitants of Haute-Garonne.

Not to mention the endless Christmas reports and foie gras recipes.

With this leisure to "zap" those who have sometimes made us sigh.

Jean-Pierre Pernaut's native village moved to tears for his last diary

To be amazed, head to the “Regions” page.

There, where the blue of the ocean of Réunion, the whiteness of the cliffs of Etretat or the hot sand of New Aquitaine tickle the pupils.

By clicking, a string of escape sequences await Internet users.

Overall, the platform with the green background is easy to use, even fun and fun.

We can even make a “list” of our favorite videos.

No need, however, to expect a technicality close to Netflix in JPP fashion.

Still, these reports look at each other with a smile tinged - already - with nostalgia.
