Two statements, two rejections:
German television does not forgive antisemitic and racist statements and these days experienced it in the flesh two TV stars.
The German television channel RTL is taking severe sanctions on celebrities who express themselves in racism.
Last week, the judge of the reality show "Germany is looking for a superstar 2021", Michael Wandler, was kicked out of the season whose filming ended and has already aired.
On the channel they pixelated his character and erased the sound as he spoke.
The reason: The judge compared the Corona restrictions to the restrictions in a concentration camp.
On Saturday, the premiere episode of the auditions aired and viewers were stunned to cut the veteran presenter in such a demonstration in the first episode - after seven seasons in which he served as a presenter.
Drag queen Nina Queer, who is considered very famous, was also fired recently.
She was scheduled to enter the reality show "Jungle Show" (a "VIP Survival" -style show), and although she had already gone into solitary confinement before filming began, her contract and participation were canceled.
Queer had previously spoken out against gay Arabs from Kreuzberg, and recently called herself "HitlerTranse," meaning a Hitler girl trans.
The channel's Facebook page stated that the channel does not intend to give a stage to people who express themselves in racism and that there is no place on television for characters who allow themselves to express themselves in an antisemitic manner.
