In Abruzzo dozens of cases from variants

- Several dozen cases of Covid-19 due to suspected variants of the Coronavirus have been ascertained in Abruzzo.

On the samples sent to the Istituto Superiore di Sanità, investigations are underway.

Some of the cases in question would be compatible with the so-called English variant.

According to what ANSA learns, these are subjects that tested positive in December 2020. The first case compatible with the English variant, in the Chieti area, dates back to 10 December.

Two Abruzzo laboratories have been identified to sequence the virus: that of Molecular Genetics of the University of Chieti and the Zooprophylactic Institute of Teramo.

No Hope plan with 100 days of red zone

- The assumptions attributed to the Minister of Health Roberto Speranza, according to which 100 days of red zone would be needed, are devoid of any foundation.

Sources from the Ministry of Health explain this.
