According to the Ministry of Health, only 3.8% of the recipients of the first dose of the vaccine tested for Corona were diagnosed with the virus after 15 days - compared with 6.4% in the first two weeks.
The success of receiving the first dose of the vaccine for corona proves itself in the fact that there is a decrease in the number of patients 15 days after the first vaccination, according to data published tonight (Tuesday) by the Ministry of Health.

In the first week after vaccination, the average rate of positive results among vaccinators is 4.6%.
From the eighth day until the 14th day after receiving the first dose of the vaccine, the rate of positive results stands at an average of 6.4% of all vaccinated.
The figure takes an encouraging turn from the 15th day after vaccination, when the rate of positive results among vaccinators is only 3.8%.
This indicates a decrease in the number of positive for corona among the vaccinated - but not complete immunity.
A similar encouraging figure can also be seen in the number of vaccinated who were hospitalized after being vaccinated: in the first week after receiving the vaccine, 244 vaccinated patients were hospitalized.
Between the eighth and 14th days after receiving the vaccine, the number of new patients dropped to 124 people, and from the 15th day onwards, there was a huge decrease in the number of new patients - only seven patients.
Against the background of the publication of the data, the Ministry of Health wanted to emphasize that the State of Israel will not transmit individual data of vaccinated or patients, in response to criticism that Pfizer will send its vaccine packages to Israel in exchange for receiving vaccinated data in Israel.
"We are in discussions with Pfizer to obtain consent to share the agreement with the public, in order to ensure that there is no transfer of confidential and personal information about patients / vaccinated," it said.
The Ministry of Health also announced the establishment of work teams that will deal with various areas, from dealing with morbidity data and investigating exceptional events to accessing and reflecting information regarding side effects of vaccines and making professional information accessible to medical staff.
Meanwhile, the various health funds today called on their insured persons aged 50 and over to make an appointment for the first dose of the corona vaccine on their websites and applications, following the expansion of the "Returning to Life" campaign.
In addition, the Ministry of Health updated tonight that 9,665 people were diagnosed yesterday with the virus.
Yesterday, 129,980 tests were performed, so that the rate of positive results stands at 7.6%.
Since midnight, 73,874 tests have been performed, 5,399 of which are positive - and the percentage of positive results is 7.3.
Since the outbreak in Israel, 508,604 people have been infected with the virus.
There are currently 75,408 active Corona patients in Israel, 1,738 of whom are hospitalized.
1,072 of the patients are in critical condition, 336 others in critical condition and 269 respirators.
The number of medical staff members who are in isolation or infected in Corona stands at 5,487 people, 588 of whom are doctors and 1,418 are brothers and sisters.
So far, in Israel out of 3,756 people - 12 of them today.
1,871,288 humans received the first dose of corona vaccine.
