After the statements of the Chief of Staff, Santiago Cafiero, the return to the classroom reappeared with a "conditional" on the horizon.
The teachers unions have already demonstrated against resuming classes in person on February 17 in Capital, the first district to start the school year.

At the end of November, the Ministry had released a document in which it advanced the conditions for the return to classes in 2021. Then, the Minister of Education, Nicolás Trotta, had told

presence was going to be the rule of this cycle school
, although he conceded that at first there would be a hybrid format.
Now, from Education they ratify that the objective is that the presence "is the computer of the school cycle", but that "each governor will make the decision that he considers pertinent", based on the principle of autonomy of the provinces.
Trotta is holding meetings with provincial governors and ministers.
This Wednesday, he is in Tucumán.

established that this return will be implemented by the protocols approved in mid-2020, which establish the division of students into groups, the assembly of "bubble classrooms" with a different arrangement than the traditional one, and the minimum distance of 1.5 meter within the classroom.
The other variable that will be taken into account is the
epidemiological traffic light
, also agreed last year.
And here a drawback appears.
Because if those parameters are taken,
very few districts could return to face-to-face classes
.
"If we are guided by the indicators of the Ministry of Education of the Nation, it should not be discussed," said Eduardo López, assistant secretary of the Union of Education Workers (UTE).
From Education they admit that
this traffic light will probably have to be changed
, but that this is a decision that has to be made in the Federal Council of Education, which still has no scheduled date for its next meeting.
What the traffic light says
The epidemiological traffic light takes into account
three indicators
to classify the areas according to levels of transmission, the growth of new cases, and the percentage of occupation of therapy beds.
Thus, jurisdictions are divided into three groups.
Epidemiological traffic light for returning to classrooms.
Low risk.
Areas without cases or with imported cases will be considered as such.
There the staggered and progressive resumption of face-to-face classes will be enabled at all educational levels and modalities.
Medium risk.
Thus, areas with sporadic cases, with local transmission by conglomerates or controlled outbreaks, will be considered.
Non-school educational activities (artistic, sports, recreational, school support or others) are authorized for boys, girls, adolescents and young people in groups of no more than ten people preferably outdoors and face-to-face activities at the end of the year.
High risk.
Thus, we consider areas with local transmission with a predominance of clusters and confirmed cases of possible community transmission, areas with sustained community transmission, and areas where the percentage of occupancy of intensive care unit beds exceeds 80%.
