Cast of 'Glee' remembers Naya Rivera on her 34th birthday

As fans surely recall, on July 13, 2020, Naya's body was found in Piru Lake, California after an intense week-long search after her disappearance was announced.

On July 8, 2020, the actress chartered a boat with her then 4-year-old son, who was found unharmed and alone in the boat wearing a life jacket.

"We are certain, based on the circumstances, that she was not the victim of foul play. There is no indication that it was a kidnapping or a homicide," Captain

Eric Buschow

told 'E!

News' at the time.

"There is also nothing to indicate that it was a suicide," he said.

The day after the confirmation,

Naya's

manager

issued a public statement on behalf of the Rivera family.

"We are very grateful for the outpouring of love and prayers for Naya, Josey and our family over the past week.
