The state of emergency for Covid should be extended until next April 30.

This is learned from government sources on the sidelines of the Council of Ministers.

The CDM on Covid is scheduled for this evening: the Minister of Health Roberto Speranza will report to Parliament on the new measures and the extension of the emergency during the day.

At 9:30, Minister Speranza reports to the Chamber.

At 3 pm he will report to the Senate.

Cts, extend state of emergency to 31 July, concern over the reopening of skiing

Extend the state of emergency until 31 July.

According to what has been learned, this would be the indication that the Technical Scientific Committee has given to the government in view of the new Dpcm.

According to experts, there are four elements that recommend an extension of another six months, so as to be able to manage the situation with emergency tools: the still high impact of the virus on the occupation of hospital beds, the vaccination campaign, the worrying situation international and the possible overlap of seasonal flu with Covid.

"Great concern" for the reopening of the ski resorts.

This is what the experts of the Technical Scientific Committee would have expressed, underlining among other things that many of the regions where the plants are located are precisely those where the pandemic is hitting the hardest.

The Cts then confirmed what had already emerged in the meeting of 7 January: the World Ski Championships scheduled in Cortina from 8 to 20 February will be held but behind closed doors and with a series of recommendations including that of doing in so that the athletes stay in the village as little time as possible, to avoid crowds.
