(ANSA) - ROME, JAN 13 - The so-called English variant of the coronavirus, also known as B.1.1.7 or VOC 202012/01, has been detected so far in at least 50 countries in addition to Hong Kong and Taiwan: the world organization has announced it della Sanità (WHO), according to reports from CNN.
"Since it was first detected on December 14, 2020, VOC 202012/01 has been identified in 50 countries, territories and areas in five of the six WHO regions. In England the variant has been identified in all regions and in almost all municipalities ", stressed WHO in its weekly report on the pandemic. (HANDLE).
