The Covid-19 still weighs as heavily on the French health system, with 1,588 Covid-19 patients admitted in 24 hours.

On the eve of a speech by the Prime Minister during which new announcements are expected to fight against the Covid-19 epidemic, the health authorities have identified 23,852 new contaminations in 24 hours.

About 20,000 new cases have been recorded every day for several weeks, far from the 5,000 hoped for in mid-December by the government.

The establishment of a curfew from 6 p.m. in ten departments since the beginning of January has allowed "less circulation" of the virus, nevertheless assured, earlier in the day, the spokesperson of the government, Gabriel Attal.

“The growth dynamic of the virus is slower there than in other areas.

Public Health France also recorded 232 deaths linked to the coronavirus this Wednesday.

Hospitals welcome 24,735 patients with the new coronavirus (against 24,703 on Tuesday), including 1,588 people who arrived in 24 hours.
