A year after
Prince Harry
and
Meghan Markle
announced their separation from royalty, the Duke and Duchess of Sussex could return to England to visit Queen
Elizabeth II
.
In March 2020, Meghan and Harry officially left their duties as royal members and this would be the first time since then that they would meet the queen.
According to the 'Sunday Times', if COVID-19 restrictions allow, the Duke and Duchess of Sussex will return to the United Kingdom to attend the Queen's 95th birthday in June, as well as the Trooping the Color parade , which takes place that same month.
Although the couple are scheduled to travel, the royal family is prepared to downsize the event to accommodate the sanitary measures of the pandemic.

The queen respected Prince Harry's decision to resign, and apparently urged other members of the royal family not to obstruct Harry and Meghan's aspirations for a new life.
Although the last time Prince Harry and Meghan Markle were seen in public with
Prince William
and
Kate Middleton
at the Westminster Abbey Commonwealth Service in March 2020, royal reporter
Katie Nicholl
recently told ' Entertainment Tonight 'that the brothers have virtually reconnected over the holidays.
"There were phone calls and video calls over the Christmas and New Years holidays, and the Sussexes sent gifts to the Cambridges and vice versa," Nicholl said.
"It was an opportunity in a very busy and chaotic year for both families to come together and connect, albeit in a virtual way," he explained.

Apparently, the two brothers were able to get through an awkward period in their relationship.
"Things are much better between William and Harry. If you go back a year at this stage, these brothers hardly spoke," Nicholl continued.
The reporter added that Prince William had been so angry with his brother after the announcement of his royal departure last year.
"He couldn't even face going to that lunch with the queen. He was just going to the meetings, such was his frustration and feeling of disappointment at what his brother had done and how Harry was handling the situation," he said.
In December, it was revealed that
Meghan Markle
and
Harry
signed a contract with Spotify to
host
their own
podcast
, which is titled 'Archewell Audio' and premiered on December 29.
The
Meghan and Prince Harry
podcast
special
also featured their son
Archie Harrison
, who was heard speaking publicly for the first time.
In its debut episode, dedicated to the end of the year parties, the Dukes of Sussex took time to remember a very special moment they experienced at their wedding.
Near the end of the audio, which lasts 3 minutes, Meghan and Harry say goodbye with a theme song that they said means a lot to them.
"It is not a toast itself, but a song - trying to shine a light," the son of the late
Princess Diana
is heard saying
.
"This Little Light of Mine 'sounded at the end of our wedding as we walked down the church steps," continued Meghan.
"It was the music we wanted to play when we started our lives together. Because as we all know, 'darkness cannot drive out darkness, only light can do that ..." he added.
Aware that 2020 was a cycle full of challenges for everyone, the spouses decided to use their
podcast
to share "stories of love and compassion" to celebrate the arrival of the new year.
