The national Anci and the seven regional Anci involved have established a coordination of the 67 municipalities identified as potential headquarters of the national nuclear deposit.
This choice, reads a note, "is situated in the wake of the commitment that Anci has always lavished also on this issue and in this regard, the Government is reminded of the importance of positively closing the ongoing negotiations on the restoration of the previous one for the Municipalities currently home to nuclear easement ".
In the meeting between the regional Associations, convened by Anci Nazionale, after the publication of the list of the most suitable territories to host the national radioactive waste deposit - present the general secretary of Anci Veronica Nicotra and Antonio Ragonesi, Head of the Environment and Territory, and presidents and directors of the regional Anci - it was highlighted that the list, published a few days ago "is only the first step of a very complex and long procedure".
It was therefore agreed to formulate the following requests to the Government: an extension of the 60-day deadline for the consultation initiated;
activation of a dedicated discussion table at the unified conference.
The ANCI coordination undertakes "to connect the Municipalities and in this first phase to collect the observations to be presented".
The work immediately foresees, starting from the meeting organized in Sardinia, an in-depth study of the methodology and application of the 28 criteria used to identify potentially suitable territories, useful for formulating detailed and substantive observations in preparation for the interinstitutional discussion.
