Covid: USA, cases exceed 23 million

since the beginning of the pandemic has exceeded 23 million: this is what emerges from the counts of Johns Hopkins University.

According to the American university, there are currently 23,071,895 infections in the country, including 384,653 deaths. 



The number of victims of the Covid bulletin in Germany reaches a new record

: according to data from the Robert Koch Institut, 1244 deaths related to viruses in the last 24 hours (the peak so far had been 1,188, on January 8).

There are also 25,164 new infections.

The incidence rate of new infections per 100 thousand inhabitants over seven days is 151.2, still very far from the threshold of 50.

This was announced by the National Health Commission in its daily updates, specifying that the case was registered in Hebei province, the most serious outbreak currently taking place in the country.

And there are 138 new cases, which touch the highest since March 2020: the National Health Commission announced this, according to which domestic infections were 124 and imported 14. The new domestic infections are largely concentrated in the province of Hebei (81) and in the northern one of Heilongjiang (43), which has been in a 'state of emergency' since yesterday.
