Macaulay Culkin Supports Trump Removal From 'Home Alone 2'

It appears that Donald Trump remains in the eye of the hurricane, and now he could be removed from the film in which he appeared in 1992 with Macaulay Culkin.

It seems that

Donald Trump

remains in the eye of the hurricane, because after becoming the first president of the United States to be accused twice of breaking the law while in office, he could now be removed from the film in which he appeared in 1992.

We refer to 'Home Alone 2: Lost in New York', since a campaign arose for his character to disappear from said film.

And one of the last to support this request is none other than the film's protagonist,

Macaulay Culkin

, who played Kevin McAllister.

Through his Twitter account, the actor gave his approval to comments on social networks that demand the elimination of the cameo of the US president in the sequel to the Christmas movie.

"Sold," Macaulay wrote, at the proposal of a user who commented on Twitter, "Petition to digitally replace Trump in 'Home Alone 2."

While in the original installment Kevin McAllister was alone at home when his family traveled to Paris, in the second part the confusion occurs at the airport, sending the little boy to New York when his parents and siblings went to Florida.

It should be remembered that, in that film production, Trump appears at the Plaza hotel in New York, where Kevin was staying.

At the scene, the child actor approached the businessman and asked for directions to the lobby.

At that time the hotel belonged to Trump, and as revealed by the director of the film,

Chris Columbus

, in an interview with 'Insider', the condition he put to loan the hotel was to appear in a scene, even if it was a brief cameo.

With no other alternative, they decided to comply with the requirement and then carry out a review before the final edition.

"People cheered when Trump appeared on screen. So I said to my editor, 'Leave it on film.' It's an audience moment," Columbus noted in November, reiterating that it was an abusive move on Trump's part.

After the request to remove that cameo was made known, another user on Twitter used an editing tool to remove Trump from the film.

"Due to a popular request, I removed Trump from 'Home Alone," he wrote alongside a video of the edited scene.

In this case the actor Macaulay Culkin also reacted, and wrote on Twitter, "Bravo", by way of approval for this occurrence.

So far it is unknown if Warner Bros. will make the decision to definitively withdraw Donald Trump's cameo, since he has also had appearances in other productions such as 'Sex and the City' and 'Zoolander', which were also very brief.
