The social, economic and health pressures that have gripped many of us over the past year are showing its signs in all sorts of forms.

The increase in cigarette smoking as mentioned joined the increase in cannabis smoking.
A study conducted by Dr. Sharon Schnittman together with Dr. Nehama Lewis of the Department of Communication, Dr. Dennis Rosenberg of the School of Public Health and in collaboration with the moderators of the 'Cannabis Magazine' forum among 755 cannabis users over the age of 18 who smoke at least once a month, percent of them reported that during the crisis the more they smoked cannabis.
"doctors and people engaged in health promotion in general need to develop specific interventions to understand the origin of the different pressures caused by epidemic of sources to develop coping mechanisms to health so they can avoid an increase in the use of cannabis," Dr. Schnittman.
The connection between smoking and Corona
In addition, just this week a new study was published by King's College London that brings conclusive evidence that smoking exacerbates COVID-19 disease.
The study was published in the journal Thorax, and examined whether there was a link between smoking and COVID-19 severity by analyzing data from a corona symptom monitoring app.
The researchers found that smokers have an increased risk of developing COVID-19 symptoms and that they are more likely to go to hospitals compared to their non-smoking counterparts.
Furthermore, smokers were more likely to report additional COVID-19-related symptoms.
Smokers were 29 percent more likely to report up to five known symptoms of COVID-19, and 50 percent more likely to report more than 10 symptoms, compared with non-smokers.
