For the German TV producer Martina Taubert that was now too much: she vented her anger on Instagram.
For many, the annual long-haul trip has become a habit.
But Corona put a line in the travel bill in 2020.
Long-distance travel had been discouraged for months in the past year.
The Federal Foreign Office also currently states: "Due to the Covid-19 pandemic *, there are currently warnings against unnecessary tourist trips to a large number of countries".
But some are not deterred by this and still implement their travel plans -
to the regret of the overburdened clinics and health authorities in many places anyway.

According to Taubert, some developed symptoms, others did not.
“Some are now in a coma,” said Taubert in her Instagram post: “One of them has just cried bitterly on the phone and fears for her husband's life.
And her son is crying: "I don't want papa to die".
Nobody envies you a great vacation.
But with this behavior you are not only risking your life, but also the lives of others.
Since the politicians are so bad at controlling strictly and consistently - and I know the same stories from people from Ibiza, Kitzbühel and St. Barths - everyone should either stick to the rules themselves or just stay at home.
They live a deadly lifestyle.
I hope the regrets don't come too late.
