(ANSA) - LONDON, 15 JAN - The United Kingdom imposes a negative Covid test within 72 hours on all travelers from whatever country they come from, eliminating all residual exemptions, in addition to the entry ban from South America and Portugal in force from today. This was announced by Prime Minister Boris Johnson in the briefing of the day, also confirming for anyone who enters the country a mandatory 10-day home quarantine, even in the absence of symptoms. This is a necessity in the face of the still very high number of infections in the country, said Johnson, reiterating that "readmissions" of the virus from abroad and variants such as the Brazilian one must be avoided.
