(ANSA) - ROME, JAN 15 - Over two million people have died globally from the coronavirus since the beginning of the pandemic: this is what emerges from the counts of the Johns Hopkins University, against a total of over 93 million cases.
The threshold of one million deaths had been exceeded on 29 September.
In just over three and a half months, therefore, a million people worldwide have died from the virus.
In the same period, about 60 million new cases were detected.
