The Minister of Justice made a notable appearance on the show this Friday. Explanations.

It's a real surprise.

This Friday, at 9:05 p.m., TF1 broadcasts a new number of "the Secret Song", its program in which personalities, seated in an armchair facing the stage, are surprised by other artists or relatives, all in music .

This time, it is Rayane Bensetti, David Douillet, Gérard Darmon, Shy'm, Hugues Aufray, Hélène Segara, Pierre Perret, as well as caregivers from the Assistance publique-Hôpitaux de Paris (AP-HP) who will be picked up by the emotion of a title that will be dedicated to them.

But in the middle of the show, viewers will discover the participation of a somewhat special personality: Eric Dupond-Moretti, Minister of Justice, from his office in Place Vendôme!

"He is one of Gérard Darmon's best friends," said Mathieu Vergne, producer of the show, at the origin of the invitation from the Keeper of the Seals.

But, above all, initially, Eric Dupond-Moretti had to go on stage and push the song, alongside in particular the son of the actor, Gilles Lellouche, but also Isabelle Boulay, his companion in the city.

"We were to shoot this show in early April," explains the producer.

At the time, he was only a lawyer.

He told us he really liked the show.

He confirmed that Gérard Darmon was one of his very close friends and had undertaken to come and sing.

But due to sanitary conditions, filming was postponed to September.

And in the meantime, Eric Dupond-Moretti has been appointed minister.

"

Considered to participate in "Mask Singer"

A change of situation that affected the PAF, other programs then wanting to invite him.

Because in addition to the government of Jean Castex, the famous lawyer was also courted to participate in "Mask Singer".

For its part, despite his appointment, the production of "the Secret Song" tried everything for everything and relaunched the invitation.

After a few days of waiting, an answer came back to him: impossible for the Keeper of the Seals to come and sing in view of his new functions.

“But Mr. Dupond-Moretti is keen to do something for Gérard Darmon,” replied the minister's office.

Neither one nor two, the production decides to make him record a video message, which will be screened at the end of the service of the actor's friends.

“We went to Place Vendôme, with a camera,” says Mathieu Vergne.

In two takes, the case is settled, the message ready to be broadcast.

A surprise for Gérard Darmon therefore, but also for viewers.

Eric Dupond-Moretti is in any case not the only political figure to have appeared in entertainment programs in recent weeks.

Roselyne Bachelot was seen in “Les Reines du shopping” by M 6 as well as in the TV movie “I Love You Hairstyle” with Muriel Robin on TF 1, two interventions recorded before her appointment to the Ministry of Culture.

For her part, Marlène Schiappa was seen in December in "Extravagantes" on Paris Première, singing "I promise you" by Johnny Hallyday and "Gigi l'Amoroso" by Dalida with transvestites, while talking about politics.

Finally, Emmanuel Macron himself had recorded a brief message for Jean-Paul Rouve in TMC's “Retroscopy” program at the end of 2020.
