(ANSA) - TURIN, 15 JAN - The government crisis causes the hearing scheduled for Monday at the Turin Palace of Justice to be skipped, which sees the deputy minister of Economy, Laura Castelli, accused of defamation.
In fact, the exponent of the Cinque Stelle made use of the legitimate impediment given the situation in Rome and therefore cannot be in the Piedmontese capital to be heard, as was expected.
The proceeding concerns a post on Facebook in which LaCastelli criticized a Pd candidate in the 2016 administration, Lidia Roscaneanu, who in the photo posted by the deputy minister appeared together with the former mayor Piero Fassino. Castelli had written that the candidate worked in the bar of the Palagiustizia entrusted to a company that went bankrupt three times, asking what bonds Roscaneanu had. Under the post the candidate was insulted with racist and sexist phrases. After the investigation by prosecutor Barbra Badellino, other 18 people were sent to trial in addition to the deputy minister. (HANDLE).
