The government crisis blows up the hearing scheduled for Monday at the Turin Palace of Justice, which sees the Deputy Minister of Economy, Laura Castelli, accused of defamation.
The exponent of the Five Stars in fact made use of the legitimate impediment given the situation in Rome and therefore cannot be in the Piedmontese capital to be heard, as was expected.
The proceeding concerns a post on Facebook in which Castelli criticized a Pd candidate for the 2016 administrative elections, Lidia Roscaneanu, who appeared in the photo posted by the deputy minister together with the former mayor Piero Fassino. Castelli had written that the candidate worked in the bar of the Palagiustizia entrusted to a company that went bankrupt three times, asking what ties Roscaneanu had. Under the post the candidate was insulted with racist and sexist phrases. After the investigation of the prosecutor Barbra Badellino, other 18 people were sent to trial in addition to the deputy minister.
