Scala: on January 23 the first opera on stage since the lockdown

On January 23, the opera returns to the stage at La Scala, exactly eleven months after the lockdown on February 23 with Cosi fan tutti by Mozart, with no audience but streaming on the theater website and on Raiplay. (HANDLE)


(ANSA) - MILAN, 15 JAN - On 23 January the opera returns to La Scala, exactly eleven months after the closing for the lockdown on 23 February with Mozart's Cosi fan tutti, without an audience but streaming on the theater website and on Raiplay .


   Concerts, streaming shows and works in concert form were performed in the opening moments.

An opera title was not staged for the inauguration of the season last December 7.

For an outbreak of Covid among the choristers the Lucia di Lammermoor in the program had been canceled and replaced with the show of great stars of the poem 'A riveder le stelle ...' live on Rai1.


   The rehearsals of Cosi fan tutti began at the end of December with Giovanni Antonini on the podium and a cast that includes Eleonora Buratto (Fiordiligi), Emily d'Angelo (Dorabella), Bogdan Volkov (Ferrando), Alessio Arduini (Guglielmo), Federica Guida (Despina ) and Pietro Spagnoli (Don Alfonso).

The staging is not new, but is the one signed by Michael Hampe in 1982, with the scene by Mauro Pagano, qu taken by Lorenza Cantini.

The show broadcast live by RaiCultura on Raiplay, on the Rai Cultura site and the theater site will remain visible on Raiplay.
