At the first reading of the grand coalition's draft law on Thursday, all opposition factions also signaled their approval, as the German Press Agency (dpa) reported.
However, there is one condition
: According to the draft law by the CDU / CSU and SPD,
tax consultants
should be given
six months more time for their clients' tax returns
due to the
corona crisis
.
This means: The
deadline for filing annual tax returns 2019 is to be extended from February 28 of this year to August 31
- but only in cases in which the respective taxpayer engages a
tax advisor
or an
income tax
aid association, as reported by the dpa.
