Who would have guessed something like that in this 19th century treasure?

What happened to the owner of a beautiful glass carafe on the ZDF show “Bares for Rares”.

A geriatric nurse from Hamburg brought a

nice carafe

for sale - but at “Bares für Rares” she was disappointed.

That's

what

happened: the

woman from

Hamburg hoped for 1,500 euros

for the

Russian glass carafe

.

The playful enamel painting on the vessel is likely to have pleased many viewers, the carafe is also a perfect decorative piece.

“Bares for Rares”: Carafe estimated at a maximum of 1,000 euros based on expertise

But already in the

expertise

of

Albert Maier

came out that the carafe was worth only about 800 to 1,000 euros.

This is a treasure from the 19th century that is "very interesting" for collectors.

The Hamburg woman tried her luck in the show anyway.

You never know whether the “Bares for Rares” dealers will surprisingly offer more money than expected.

But in the dealer room, Wolfgang Pauritsch - unlike the previous expert Albert Maier - noticed a mini flaw in the carafe.

Namely, that the enamel painting was not applied correctly, but a piece was broken off and the glass was embellished with an attachment.

“Bares for Rares”: Price significantly lower than expected due to mini-errors

400 euros are realistic, said TV dealer Pauritsch - if it weren't for this mistake, in his opinion it could be 1,000 euros.

In the end, his colleague Christian Vechtel got the job.

For 450 euros.

Certainly disappointing for the woman from Hamburg, who still sold the glass carafe at this price.
