(ANSA) - FLORENCE, 16 JAN - A banner in memory of Giulio Regeni and to ask for the release of Patrik Zaki was spread today outside the balcony of Palazzo Vecchio, in Piazza della Signoria in Florence: the mayor Dario Nardella, the president of the city council were present Luca Milani and the board group leaders.
"On the eve of the new hearing in the trial against Zaki - declared Nardella - we renew the Government's request for a serious commitment in this difficult and dramatic situation. The young researcher detained in Egypt must soon return free". Another banner for Zaki has been hanging for a few weeks on the terrace of the mayor's office, also in Palazzo Vecchio. (HANDLE).
