The UK variant of the coronavirus is
already in the country
: it was detected in an Argentine citizen residing abroad, who
arrived in Ezeiza at the end of the year from Germany
without symptoms but who tested positive for Covid.
The announcement was made by the Minister of Science and Technology, Roberto Salvarezza.
According to the official report, the variant was detected
in an Argentine citizen who resides in Great Britain
, but who had made business
trips to Austria and Germany
in the last time.
The inter-institutional Consortium for the Sequencing of the genome and genomic studies of SARS-COV-2, created by @ciencia_ar, detected the variant of SARS-CoV-2 from the United Kingdom in a traveler from abroad.
The health authorities have already been informed.
