A year ago, these days or so, Tecla Insolia with her thanks and her 16 years, enchanted the Sanremo festival, competing among the New Proposals after winning Sanremo Young 2019. Twelve months later, ten of which marked by the pandemic, the young Tuscan singer (but born in Varese), returns with a new single entitled L'urlo di Munch (Baraonda).

The song, written by Claudia La Bella, Ilario Pasquali and Michele Savino, for the artistic production of Diego Calvetti and the arrangement by Diego Calvetti and Lapo Consortini, is the cry of a girl put to the test by a world that prefers to feed fear and bewilderment rather than hopes and dreams, especially in a dark period like the one we are experiencing.

"I tend to be a reserved person, but I realize that sometimes there is a need to scream. Now it's one of those moments", says the 17-year-old, forced at home like all her peers between a DAD who does not fully satisfy her ( "we are a bit tired and bored, school yes, but not so with the connection problems and the system that jumps. We need certainties") and the inability to do the usual things.

"After Sanremo I would have had to do, but everything has stopped - he continues -. The future? I do not have many expectations, and not only for the covid. We young people must understand how to settle in this complicated beginning of the century. I have hope in culture. , in information, in people's conscience and I hope that after the fall, it is time to get up for the whole world ".

Sanremo, meanwhile, is a chapter that seems far away: "I'm not embittered for not having won. On the contrary, since I didn't have a project behind it, there wasn't a record ready, maybe it was better this way. At this age, yes. it is constantly evolving. And then Leo Gassmann deserved all the victory ".

Tecla in addition to being a singer is also an actress: after having acted in successful Rai TV series such as Vite in Fuga and L'Allieva, she will also play the singer Nada in the TV movie on Rai1 "The girl who did not want to sing" directed by Costanza Quatriglio (Picomedia production), freely inspired by "My human heart" by Nada Malanima published by Atlantide.

"I play Nada as a teenager in the TV movie about Nada's childhood and adolescence and her delicate relationship with her mother played by Carolina Crescentini until her debut in Sanremo in 1969. Artistically I already knew her: and Desperate Love are two cornerstones of Italian music ".

He does not want to choose between acting and singing: "For now I want to continue to keep the two paths in parallel".
