The famous black slope of Montmartre is open!
Skis on and hats on their heads, Parisians immediately descended the snowy slope just in front of the Sacré-Coeur.
A dream for winter sports enthusiasts who still have no ski lifts in ski resorts.
“It's great skiing, the older ones have trained here,” laughs Tom, who has just ridden the slope to the applause.
"It's a somewhat gloomy period with the Covid, so we are trying to bring a little joy" he continues, more seriously.
But Tom wants to stay positive, "it's snowing, you have to take advantage of it" and "it's nice to find some sensations" he adds.
On skis or sledges, Parisians take advantage of the snow that has just fallen on the capital.
And in this period of Covid, the flakes have the same effect on everyone: "it lifts your spirits".
There should be no more than 3cm of snow on the ground.
The few flakes are not going to be enough to make Paris look like a ski resort.
But the Paris police headquarters still calls for "the utmost vigilance" because of the risk of ice.
