(ANSA) - WASHINGTON, 18 JAN - One of JoeBiden's first acts as soon as he took office in the White House will be to cancel the permit for the construction of the Keystone XL pipeline. The authorization for the controversial work, which crosses some territories considered sacred by Native Americans, was granted by Donald Trump in 2017 after his predecessor Barack Obama had blocked it in 2015. The Keystone XL is a work almost two thousand kilometers long that it should transport to full capacity about 830,000 barrels of oil per day, transporting it from the Alberta region of Canada to the United States via Montana, South Dakota and Nebraska. Those who have always opposed the Keystone XL consider it a harmful infrastructure both from an environmental and cultural point of view. (HANDLE).
