The name of Sitecore is not known to the general public;
it is however one of the giants that are emerging in the “digital experience” market, the “martech”, where marketing and technological issues are mixed.
Founded in 2001 in Denmark, this unlisted Californian group, publisher of customer relationship management software in the cloud, announced on Tuesday a spectacular fundraising of 1.2 billion dollars (one billion euros) from its main shareholder since 2016, the European fund EQT Partners based in Denmark.
Sitecore, ranked among the most promising unicorns in online marketing, does not report its revenue but it is below $ 1 billion, growing strongly in recent years, and over 25% in 2020.
