(ANSA) - TOKYO, 19 JAN - The Tokyo Stock Exchange recovers after yesterday's setback and begins trading with a plus sign, with investors looking with optimism at the words of Janet Yellen, soon the new US Treasury Minister, about the fiscal stimulus maneuver to be implemented against the coronavirus.
At the opening, the Nikkei benchmark index advanced by 0.55% to 28,396.47, gaining 154 points.
On the foreign exchange market, the loyen changed little against the dollar at 103.70 and the euro at 125.20.
