Located in the district town hall, the vaccination center in the 15th district is one of 19 places in Paris to be immunized against Covid-19.
80 people a day will receive their injection there against the coronavirus when it could accommodate… 1,000. Everything and everyone were ready, doctors and nurses, administration and administrators, materials and boxes… Everything except the famous long-awaited doses, sent from the central pharmacy in Nanterre (Hauts-de-Seine).
"Nothing is ready, nothing is anticipated, there is a fairly general disorganization", complains Philippe Goujon, mayor (LR) of the 15th arrondissement.
“We have been operational in screening for three months, and have had the experience and the nursing staff,” he recalls.
His voice joins that of many mayors and elected officials very upset with regard to this vaccination campaign against covid-19, considered undersized, already on the verge of a shortage that some deem avoidable.
Twenty-four retirees were vaccinated on Monday afternoon.
From now on, the town hall center operates from 8 a.m. to 5.30 p.m., every day except Sunday, then from 7 a.m. to 8 p.m. in February.
