The "Hercules" project continues to mobilize EDF agents against it.
Nearly a quarter of them were on strike this Wednesday to demand its withdrawal.
The project provides for the division of the group into three entities: on the one hand EDF bleu and EDF azur - two public companies - for nuclear power plants and hydroelectric dams, and another green EDF, listed on the stock exchange, for the distribution of electricity and renewable energies.
Its opponents denounce the risk of a “dismantling” of the group and an increase in electricity prices.
In Paris, around 200 CGT activists dumped Linky meters in front of the headquarters of La République en Marche, in the second arrondissement.
These counters - synonymous according to the union with job cuts, since they can be installed by service providers and avoid the travel of agents for the readings - "they are placed in front of the public service gravediggers", concluded Cédric Liechtenstein. , general secretary of CGT Energie Paris.
Actions also took place in several French cities and in front of certain EDF sites that same day, on the occasion of the call for a strike by the Interfederal (CGT, CFE-CGC, CFDT, FO).
The Interfederal is invited Wednesday, at the initiative of the communist Sébastien Jumel, to a meeting with deputies from the main opposition groups, from the rebels to the Republicans.
The debate on “Hercules” could be open to all French people: the Socialist senators and deputies have indicated their intention to table a proposal for a shared initiative referendum (RIP) against the project.
