Alessandra Prampolini is the new director general of WWF Italy, the first woman to hold this position in the association which, having Donatella Bianchi as president, now has the top positions all 'in pink'.
This was decided by the National Council, thanking the outgoing CEO Gaetano Benedetto for the work done in the last 5 years.
Prampolini, 39, former Deputy Director General, with a background in Development Economics and a focus on sustainable development issues, after a first period in WWF where she dealt with cooperation and the environment, she leaves the association for other professional experiences. He returns there in 2018 to oversee the work lines dedicated to the implementation of the 2030 Agenda and to coordinate the participation of companies globally in the New Deal for Nature and People for the International WWF. "The appointment of Alessandra - declares the president of WWF Italy Donatella Bianchi - confirms the international vocation of the WWF, which also in Italy is investing in generational renewal and gender equality, indispensable requisites to face with determination the great challenges that await us.
