(ANSA) - MILAN, 20 JAN - La Scala in Milan is preparing an absolutely new show.
Or rather, a show in which rehearsals had begun but which the lockdown of last February prevented from staging.
This is Salomecon directed by Damiano Michieletto which in intentions should have been one of the top shows of the last season.
The opera will not be directed by the musical director of the theater Riccardo Chailly, as originally planned, but by Zubin Mehta and will be broadcast live on Rai 5 on February 20.
The premiere of Salome was scheduled for March 8, after the theater closed, but the sets were ready and the rehearsals had begun and at a good point.
