Rescue workers have recovered the bodies of a man and two children from a burned-out car wreck in Rhineland-Palatinate.
According to the police and public prosecutor's office, the burning car was discovered yesterday evening at around 9 p.m. in a parking lot on the B37.
There is some evidence for a homicide, a police spokesman said on Wednesday.
"We are currently investigating in all directions," said the prosecutor.
It is also examined whether an accident could be the reason for the fire in the vehicle.
The dead children are a girl and a boy.
So far it is not known whether it is the man's children or whether the dead have a family connection.
The dead may come from the Bad Dürkheim district
The identity of the dead has not yet been confirmed.
However, there are indications that the three people come from the Bad Dürkheim district.
However, this must still be examined during an autopsy in the coming days, it said.
According to the public prosecutor's office, talks are currently being held with people who could possibly have come from the dead.
This also included possible family members.
According to the authorities, the burnt out small car was seized.
In order to determine the cause of what happened, an expert should now examine the wreck.
