He does not want to have insulted officials, but rather felt harassed by a nightly police check. In court, the rapper Fler presents himself as a victim of slander.

The Berlin rapper Fler has to answer for offense in court, among other things, and has taken a position on some of the charges in the process.

In one case he felt provoked by a civil strife at night, said the 38-year-old musician, whose real name is Patrick Losensky, on the second day of the trial at the Berlin-Tiergarten district court.

The officers had conspicuously parked their car at a traffic light next to the car he and his wife had been using.

"You get scared," said the rapper.

He asked the passenger why the police were there.

Fler does not want an answer from the police

Because he did not get an answer, a now accused statement was made.

"He didn't behave, I didn't behave," said Fler.

The prosecution assumes that the rapper repeatedly vilified and insulted different people.

He is said to have insulted a neighbor repeatedly with violent words in July 2018.

On a video portal in March 2020 he described the rapper Bushido as a "bastard" and a "disgusting dog".

Bushido's wife was also insulted.

Video recordings made by Fler's girlfriend of the incident with the police officers were last played in court as evidence of the verbal abuses.

A police officer had also testified last week that the accused had "completely insulted" him.

Before that, he and his colleagues drove past the musician's car as a civil patrol to see who was behind the wheel.

The now accused had "become aggressive and loud" as a passenger at a second encounter shortly afterwards.

"They all lie blatantly."

Fler, who also put questions to witnesses himself, said in an interim remark: "They all lie blatantly." The rapper and his lawyers had already stated before the trial that a "significant part of the allegations" was "inaccurate, falsified or out of context cracked".

In connection with allegations of insult, "who expresses himself" should be considered.

Rough and rowdy statements are common among gangster rappers, according to the defense attorney at the beginning of the trial.
