(ANSA) - ROME, JAN 21 - About 2,000 homes were evacuated last night in the Manchester area due to the Christoph storm, which caused flooding in various parts of the country. The Guardian reports it.
The locations affected by the disturbance are East Didsbury, West Didsbury and Northenden, as well as some areas of Ruthin eBangor on Dee - in North Wales - and the town of Magull in the county of Merseyside (central west).
