(ANSA) - VATICAN CITY, 21 JAN - The president of the Vatican court Giuseppe Pignatone has read the sentence stating that Angelo Caloia and Gabriele Liuzzo are sentenced to 8 years and 11 months in prison for money laundering and aggravated misappropriation and a fine of 12,500 euros; Lamberto Liuzzoa 5 years and two months for laundering and a fine of 8 milaeuro. The three defendants, involved in the sale of the IOR real estate assets, were banned in perpetuity by the public offices. The Court also ordered the confiscation of the sums seized on the current accounts of the defendants and the compensation to the IOR and the company Sgir of approximately 23 million.
