Photographer Assaf Sudri, winner of two Ophir Awards and one of the producers of "The Motive", sent a letter to industry figures and agents, in which he claims that a producer is impersonating him with the aim of sexually harassing actresses.
The events started about three weeks ago, when auditions were held for a new project inspired by photographer Diane Arbus.
This project is signed by the esteemed photographer - this is at least the impression created.
Several actresses showed up at auditions - and now it has been alleged that a man who is apparently not secretive impersonated him and sexually harassed actresses.
"To my astonishment, I discovered that he presented the project as if it were mine. This is a complete and gross lie," Sudri wrote.
"He also lied and deceived the actresses who came to audition knowing they were coming to audition with me, and in fact he hid with the monitor behind a black screen. He deceived the actresses, the agencies and the people who worked with him.
"In addition to that," Sudri notes, "he sent blatant and cheap sexual texts, which had nothing to do with the script, to savor the pornographic situation. He also stripped actresses in the middle of the audition and ordered them to say the text in a bra only - and all in my name. The language of the letter that reached Israel Today.
"He also did more and sent them pictures of himself with only a robe to strengthen the artistic connection between them. He is a crook, a swindler and an impostor."
Finally, Sudri updated that he intends to act legally.
"I myself consult a lawyer so that I can sue him for impersonation and damage to my name. I do not recommend anyone to be in touch with him and cooperate with him in the show of lies and scams he is conducting. Two actresses intend to sue him."
This strange story was interrupted after Sudri discovered it and stopped the auditions.
The producer's response, whose name remains in the system at this time, was not received.
