Aldi has already confirmed the closure of the central warehouse in Altenstadt to
the
Augsburger Allgemeine
.
In Wittlich, operations are scheduled to cease on June 30th.
In 2022, Montabaur will follow on February 28th and Ketsch on April 30th.
The drastic step is the result of a comprehensive
location analysis
and logistical considerations.
The regional companies in the regions will now have to look after the branches affected by the closure.
Aldi Süd: Examination of "alternative occupations" for employees
It is still unclear how things will continue for the employees in the warehouses and administration.
About
660 employees
are believed to be affected.
Compared to the
