Is it particularly easy as an actor when the role is similar to your own personality?
Exactly the opposite is the case - at least for Matthew Lewis, who became known as Neville Longbottom in the "Harry Potter" films.
"It's easier when I can play someone who is completely different," the Brit told the New York Times.
Lewis therefore finds it difficult to watch the "Harry Potter" strips again: "Sometimes it's painful how much of me is in Neville," says the 31-year-old.
"When I watch the films I think, 'It's not Neville, it's you.'"
Lewis took on the role of the awkward sorcerer student Longbottom in the film adaptations of JK Rowling's books from 2001 to 2011.
