As before every weekend, Le Parisien offers a selection of programs not to be missed on online video platforms.

This week, the second season of a hero imagined by JK Rowling, a hard-hitting film about Cassius Clay, an Israeli thriller ...

"CB Strike", the other hero of JK Rowling

OCS.

Alongside the "Harry Potter" saga, JK Rowling is also the author of thrillers that she has published under the name of Robert Galbraith since 2013. Across the Channel, the serial adaptation of these novels began in 2017. The intrigues of the first three books constitute the first season of the series baptized "CB Strike".

The second season, which has just started on OCS, is made up of four parts adapted from the fourth novel, “Blanc Mortel”.

This new plot is therefore entitled to more time to develop than the previous ones.

It again stages the investigations of the private detective Cormoran Strike and his assistant Robin Ellacott.

As for the season's new investigation, it turns out to be particularly odd: A man with mental health issues tells Cormorant that he witnessed a murder as a child, then disappears.

By delving into the past, many very current ramifications of the case will surface.

Always well made, the series holds its course of classic thriller, but pleasing.

Cassius Clay knocks us out in "One Night in Miami"

AMAZON PRIME VIDEO.

His name is not yet Mohamed Ali, but Cassius Clay, and on February 25, 1964, he won to everyone's surprise his first big fight in Miami, becoming world champion in the heavyweight category.

But in these times of racial segregation, he cannot celebrate his victory in public, and will be confined in a hotel room with his three best friends: the activist Malcom X, the singer Sam Cooke, the American football player Jim Brown. .

“One Night in Miami”, imagine the content of this extraordinary night between the four men, all celebrities at the time.

If the story is largely about the conversation - with broken sticks - between four walls, it gives air to the spectators through an opening where we follow the four men in significant events before the famous night, or in allowing himself flashbacks.

But it is the words exchanged between the four protagonists that keep us going.

The director, Regina King, shows a dazzling mastery, and in a difficult exercise, that of the camera: her way of sticking to the characters, of playing with the mirrors, the close-ups, the windows or the furniture in this small hotel room, makes a strong impression and contributes to give a masterful dimension to this astonishing film.

The pretty screenwriter, as sparkling as she is intriguing, gradually interferes in the couple's life with disturbing assurance.

By combining psychological thriller and behind the scenes of cinema, “Losing Alice” weaves a Machiavellian web of relentless suspense.

The actress duo is breathtaking.

Lihi Kornowski (Sophie) breathes the profound ambiguity of her character, sometimes solar, sometimes fiercely obscure.

Facing her, Ayelet Zurer (Alice) is not to be outdone, playing on the permanent discomfort felt by the heroine who is gradually reinventing herself while losing her footing.

All candid in front of "the Adventures of young Voltaire"

SALTO.

France Télévisions offers to rediscover the philosopher of the Enlightenment.

But in a different light.

The group's new mini-series, posted on Salto, is devoted to the Voltaire of the young years.

Welcome to 18th century Paris, its carriages, wigs, and sumptuous corset dresses.

But also its plots, its marked social classes and the weight of religion.

We discover a François-Marie Arouet, all fired up, passionate and uncompromising, twirling from conquest to conquest, fighting for his ideas, so modern for the time.

The historical saga, shot in part at the Château de Chantilly to recreate the setting of the court of Versailles, looks back on the thinker's journey.

The early years of this son of a Parisian notary, his time at the Lycée Louis-Le-Grand, the loyal friendships which forged there with the Duke of Richelieu in particular.

His loves, but also his tumultuous relations with his brother and his father.

We see him denouncing the weight of the Catholic religion, fighting against the practice of torture.

Inspiring and with an irreverence that is a pleasure to see, especially today.
