(ANSA) - ROME, JANUARY 22 - Initial deliveries of the AstraZeneca vaccine to the EU will be below the established targets due to a technical production problem. A spokesperson for the pharmaceutical company said in a statement, according to the Guardian. "Initial volumes will be lower than originally expected due to lower yields at one production site within our European supply chain," the spokesperson said. "We will supply tens of millions of doses to the European Union in February and March, meanwhile we will continue to increase production volumes," he added. (HANDLE).
