February holidays: no change of date but… "caution" when traveling.

The February school holidays are "intended to be maintained" on the dates scheduled, said Friday the Minister of National Education, Jean-Michel Blanquer.

Despite the persistent high level of spread of Covid-19, the latter described on RTL a stable health situation in schools.

"We always have all the scenarios in mind but the February holidays are intended to be on the planned date, to last two weeks for each of the zones and not to be changed", continues Jean-Michel Blanquer, while specifying that this decision "may still evolve depending on the situation".

But what about the possibilities of travel during these February holidays?

Asked about this point, the Secretary of State for Tourism called for "caution".

“Be careful, we are at a time when certain indicators are going up, we will take a closer look in a few days and I therefore urge caution,” said Jean-Baptiste Lemoyne on BFMTV.

    I am not hiding.

    I am not running away.

See it as a sort of healthy respite in my life ”.

Nine deaths of elderly people, who had received the Pfizer / BioNTech vaccine against Covid-19, were recorded in France, without a link being established between their death and the vaccination, the Medicines Agency said on Friday, according to who they were sick and under heavy treatment.

"In view of the elements available to us to date, there is nothing to conclude that these deaths are linked to vaccination", underlined the ANSM in its weekly update.

The unexpected info

Plantu says stop.

It is the end of nearly half a century of collaboration between "Le Monde" and Jean Plantureux, better known under the name of Plantu.

The 69-year-old cartoonist today confirmed his departure from the evening daily, after announcing it yesterday to the online media Stop on Images.

Plantu insists: this decision has "nothing to do" with the Gorce controversy, which slammed the door of the newspaper two days earlier after a controversial cartoon, from which Le Monde had chosen to dissociate itself.
